We've got A's for your Q's

How much does it cost?

We accept most major insurances, including Maryland Medicaid so you will only be responsible for your co-pay. All insurances, including Medicaid cover online therapy. We currently do not accept Aetna insurance nor Kaiser. We will also inform you if you have a deductible that applies towards mental health benefits. If you have a deductible to meet, or if you want to pay out of pocket, it will be $85 per session.

Our In-Network Insurances:

  • United Healthcare

  • Care First/Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • Cigna

  • Maryland Medicaid

Do you only conduct online therapy?

Nope! We currently have three offices, with our main location in Laurel, one in Frederick, and another in Silver Spring, Maryland. We offer in person services at all three locations in addition to online therapy through TherapyNotes. Get Directions Here.

How does online therapy work?

Call us to schedule an appointment at 1-800-994-5403. Specify whether you want a phone or video therapy session. We are utilizing TherapyNotes for our video sessions. This software does not rely on external software or plugins when used in a web browser. The relevant link for the video sessions will be provided in your email confirmation for your scheduled appointment.

Please find a quiet, private space for you to sit during your therapy appointment. We want you to be able to feel comfortable during your sessions, so it’s best to find a place where you won’t be interrupted by colleagues, family, or pets.

What are the benefits of online counseling?

Sometimes it’s just not feasible to make it to a therapist’s office in person. Don’t let commutes, child care, or a non-flexible schedule get in the way of your therapy.

Online counseling with the Lartey Wellness Group is a great option for people who can’t meet in person with a therapist. We offer teletherapy appointments in the morning, during the day, evening, and weekends.

How many sessions do I have to commit to?

It's totally up to you. We are a client-centered practice, so you the client decide how often you want to attend. Typically clients attend weekly or bi-weekly sessions. Some clients attend monthly sessions.
