Lartey Wellness Group was founded by Frank Lartey, an immigrant from Ghana, West Africa, who has lived in the U.S. for over 25 years. Frank got into coaching and counseling to help individuals unlock the keys to wellness, balance and happiness. In 2014, he began to provide free coaching services to persons in need in India. Frank provided these services as a way to gain coaching and counseling experience. Because of the time difference, he would often be working at 3am eastern time to ensure he was able to gain the necessary skills to provide quality coaching and counseling to people.

Lartey Wellness Group was officially established as a mental health private practice in 2018 and by 2019, business began to pick up. Frank began providing coaching and counseling services full-time as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). As things slowly started to build up, he began to hire counseling interns from Johns Hopkins University and Washington Adventist University. The interns would provide counseling services to clients while they obtained the hours needed to become a licensed therapist.

What started as a small mental health private practice with minimal employees is now a 60 person team with offices in the Philippines, Bangladesh, India, Africa, Jamaica, Los Angeles, D.C., Maryland, and Miami. In 2021, the Lartey Wellness Group was awarded a 3 year CARF Accreditation and by 2022, the organization became officially recognized as an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC).

The journey has not been an easy one, but Frank and the employees of Lartey Wellness Group have never given up hope at providing the best services possible. We want to continue to provide these services to the best of our ability and inspire others to be the best versions of themselves.
