Clinician Biography
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) in Maryland and hold other licensures in New York (Licensed Master Social Worker) and Washington, DC (Licensed Independent Social Worker). I have over 20 years of experience in the helping profession, having worked across diverse settings including healthcare, child welfare, social services, educational, and psychiatric environments. Throughout my career, I have remained dedicated to guiding others toward recognizing their power within. I have learned that regardless of the setting, presenting concern, or diagnosis, all people desire and deserve to be seen, heard, and connected, and to be offered opportunities for growth.
I believe that the therapeutic process is a holistic, collaborative partnership that honors the whole person and supports healing, safety, insight, resolution, and lasting change. I incorporate various modalities, tailored to individual needs, including but not limited to Person Centered, Insight Oriented, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Task Oriented approaches.
After earning my Master of Science degree from Columbia University in 2005, I have joined collaboratively with individuals in navigating the effects of trauma, mood, anxiety, psychiatric, medical, and personality-related challenges. My therapeutic approach is grounded in creating a space that is supportive, empathetic, and safe, and is often described as authentic, patient, and growth-oriented.
