Clinician Biography
My mental health journey began in 2020. In the midst of the pandemic, I decided to pursue a career in social work to help individuals and families in need. I attended graduate school while serving as the sole caretaker for my mother, who lives with a neurological condition. That experience strengthened not only my perseverance, but also my empathy and understanding of the unique challenges many families face.
I come from a proud Haitian immigrant family and grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My personal background gives me a deep sensitivity to the experiences of immigrants and individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space for clients where their stories are honored and their strengths are recognized.
Before joining Lartey Wellness Group, I worked as a case manager with a managed care organization. In that role, I assisted clients with both social and behavioral health needs, helping them navigate complex systems while building goals and strategies to improve their quality of life. This foundation in case management has shaped my holistic approach to therapy, where I consider not just a client’s mental health but also the social and environmental factors that impact their well-being.
I specialize in solution-focused therapy, adjustment disorders, depression, and anxiety. I also integrate elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), grief counseling, and skills-building interventions to help clients develop practical tools for resilience and personal growth. My approach is collaborative and client centered. I believe each person already has strengths within them, and my role is to help uncover those strengths and empower change. Outside of my work, I enjoy singing, exploring new places, and connecting with my community.
My goal as a therapist is to walk alongside clients on their journey, offering compassion, guidance, and evidence-based care that supports healing and lasting change.
