Clinician Biography

My name is Desiree Michelle Gueye and I am a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at Chamberlain University completing my clinical internship at Lartey Wellness Group. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in Psychology from Capella University.

I bring a strong background in social services and program management through my work with refugee and asylee populations, where I focused on cultural adjustment, trauma-informed care, and empowerment. My clinical interests include supporting individuals managing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and chronic stress. I am passionate about fostering resilience and self-awareness in clients through empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based approaches. My goal as a clinician is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported on their journey toward healing and growth.
