Clinician Biography

Hello, my name is Adriano Serviziati, but my friends call me Bruce, and so can you. I am committed to helping you become the best version of yourself. I am a second-generation Italian-Canadian immigrant from one of Canada’s most ethnically diverse provinces. I grew up in a community with limited economic resources, elevated rates of crime, and housing insecurities. So I understand difficult situations and want to meet you where you are at and help you along your journey, wherever that starts. I know getting involved in therapy can be overwhelming and intimidating, so congratulations on taking the first step.

My counselling approach is collaborative, structured, and growth oriented. I help clients build clarity and confidence by using evidence based methods such as CBT, DBT informed skills, motivational interviewing, and strengths focused interventions. I integrate practical tools like worksheets, goal planning, exposure based strategies, and reflective journaling to make progress concrete and measurable. I work with clients to understand patterns, develop emotional regulation skills, and create meaningful changes that align with their values. My style is warm, direct, and supportive, with a strong focus on empowering clients to build skills that foster long term resilience.

I am a student counsellor at Yorkville University with a background in psychology and English from the University of the Fraser Valley. I also bring over five years of experience as a community support worker assisting clients with day-to-day functioning, housing support, finding employment, and social integration. I have experience supporting individuals with autism, anxiety, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, self-esteem issues, social skill challenges, and substance use concerns. Outside of my counselling work, I am a personal trainer, rugby coach, outdoors enthusiast, and enjoy gaming in my downtime.
